Veronica Faison (she/her) is counsel on the Income Security/Child Care team, building the organization’s cross-cutting portfolio on access to home- and community-based services (HCBS) for disabled people, older adults and family caregivers, and job quality for direct care workers—a workforce comprised of majority low-paid women of color. She first came to NWLC as a Women’s and Public Policy Fellow on the Reproductive Rights and Health Equity team, focusing on abortion access and the disproportionate impact of abortion restrictions on low-paid women workers. Additionally, Veronica has a background in direct services, primarily serving low-income Black women D.C-area residents as a Howard C. Westwood fellow at Neighborhood Legal Services Program’s Family Law Unit.

Veronica is a member of the D.C bar.
