Neena Chaudhry

Vice President & General Counsel

Neena Chaudhry (she/her), Vice President, General Counsel, and Senior Advisor for Education, provides in-house legal advice and representation to NWLC, the NWLC Fund LLC, the NWLC Abortion Access Legal Defense Fund, and the NWLC Action Fund. She also works to protect the rights of women and girls to be free from sex discrimination in school. Ms. Chaudhry’s work focuses on girls who experience sexual harassment and violence, are denied athletic opportunities, face unfair discipline, or are discriminated against because they are pregnant. She participates in litigation, administrative and legislative advocacy, and public education to ensure that schools are fulfilling their obligations under Title IX of the Education Amendments of 1972 and other civil rights laws.   

Prior to joining NWLC in 1997 as a Georgetown Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow, Ms. Chaudhry clerked for the Honorable Michael Daly Hawkins of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She is a graduate of Yale Law School and the University of Maryland at College Park.
