Liz Chacko

Senior Counsel, Legal Network for Gender Equity and TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund

Liz Maria Chacko is Senior Counsel at the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund.  Prior to joining the National Women’s Law Center, Liz spent many years providing direct services to immigrant survivors at non-profit legal aid organizations.  Immediately prior to joining the Law Center, Liz worked for over 15 years at Justice at Work (Pennsylvania), where she represented immigrant workers on a variety of employment and immigration related matters; engaged in state-wide advocacy and outreach; and later, supervised all program staff and helped lead the organization as Deputy Director.  Liz also previously represented low-income survivors of interpersonal violence in family law and protection from abuse matters.  She is an adjunct faculty member at the University of Pennsylvania Carey School of Law.  Liz received her undergraduate degree from New York University, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  She received her law degree from Boston College, where she was an editor at the Journal of Law and Social Justice.
