Motherhood Wage Gap for Black Mothers
Mothers who work outside the home full-time, year-round typically make 74 cents for every dollar paid to fathers. Nationwide, Black mothers working full-time, year-round are paid just 56 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic fathers. When part time workers are included, Black mothers are paid just 47 cents for every dollar paid to white, non-Hispanic fathers.
