On March 1, 2024, NWLC and ACLU submitted a memo to DOL outlining our recommendations for DOL to address bias and discrimination in employment in response to President Biden’s Executive Order on Artificial Intelligence.  Our recommendations address the ways in which the use of artificial intelligence, electronic surveillance, and automated management throughout the employment experience—from recruitment and hiring to the workplace setting—can harm working people, especially women, workers of color, workers with disabilities, and LGBTQI+ individuals, by replicating, heightening, or enabling discrimination.
