The Administration’s Policy that Separated Children and Parents is Unforgivable, Says NWLC

(Washington, DC) Today is the court-ordered deadline for the Trump Administration to reunite all families that were separated at the border as a result of its zero-tolerance policy, which was initiated in May.

The following is a statement by Anna Chu, Vice President for Strategy and Policy at the National Women’s Law Center:

“The government’s policy that separated infants and young children from their parents is unforgivable and marks a low point in America’s history. And now we’re witnessing the Administration’s botched efforts to reunite families that have been separated for weeks and sometimes months. The Administration must address this crisis and bring together all families as soon as possible. The time for delays and excuses is over.”
