“Today, Secretary Becerra and the Biden Administration heard our call for action and formed the Reproductive Healthcare Access Task Force within the Department of Health and Human Services.
“Our country is in crisis: despite Roe v. Wade being the law of the land for 49 years, its future lies in the hands of an extremist conservative Court, and people in Texas have already effectively lost the right to abortion. This task force is a critical step but the truth is we need more. This time calls for the administration to continue to marshal all of its resources across the entire government – in order to face, and end, the relentless attacks on our most fundamental rights and freedoms. The health, economic security, futures, and lives of millions of people depend on it.”
