They say the Obama guidance has been an important tool to crack down on sexual violence, which research shows is prevalent on campuses and grossly under-reported. The comment “worries me about their engagement with the facts, and it worries me that they’re being advised by extreme men’s rights advocates who have a long track record of pointing to myths of sexual assault,” Fatima Goss Graves, CEO and president of the National Women’s Law Center, told Morning Education. “There are a lot of experts who have been researching this issue for decades,” said Graves, who is among the advocates meeting with DeVos today. “There is a treasure trove of real facts to draw from.”
