Gretchen Borchelt, Vice President for Reproductive Rights and Health

Gretchen Borchelt, Vice President for Reproductive Rights and Health, oversees NWLC’s advocacy, policy, and education strategies to promote women’s reproductive rights and access to comprehensive, affordable health care, including reproductive health care. Prior to becoming Vice President, Ms. Borchelt served as Senior Counsel and Director of State Reproductive Health Policy, directing NWLC’s state-based legal and policy efforts to protect and expand access to reproductive health care, and linking that work to NWLC’s federal reproductive health advocacy. Before joining NWLC in 2005, she worked at Physicians for Human Rights and was a Women’s Law and Public Policy Fellow at the National Partnership for Women and Families. Ms. Borchelt is a graduate of Columbia Law School and the University of Virginia.
