As an ACLS/Mellon Public Fellow, Amanda Rossie Barroso conducted cross-cutting data-based research and analysis for some of the NWLC’s core issue areas, including income security and workplace justice. Before joining the NWLC, Amanda received her Ph.D. in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from The Ohio State University and worked as an adjunct professor while publishing her research, which explores how young women’s social media practices shape societal perceptions of motherhood. She holds a M.A. in Journalism from the University of Southern California and a B.A. in English from Presbyterian College.
