NWLC Testimony in Support of Legislation to Raise D.C.’s Minimum Wage

Legal Briefs & Testimony

The National Women’s Law Center submitted testimony to the Committee on Business, Consumer & Regulatory Affairs of the Council of the District of Columbia to support legislation to raise the District’s minimum wage to $15 per hour by 2020—and to urge Members to take the additional step of gradually raising the minimum cash wage for tipped workers until it matches the regular minimum wage, so that all workers are entitled to the same fair minimum wage, regardless of tips.

It's time for change, and we must act now. Time's up.
