Families depend on women’s wages more than ever, but women working full-time, year-round are typically paid less than men working full-time, year-round in every state. The wage gap between mothers and fathers is even worse, with mothers working full-time, year-round outside the home paid just 74 cents for every dollar paid to fathers. When part time workers are included, mothers are paid just 62 cents for every dollar paid to fathers. The wage gap for mothers varies widely by state, see the breakdown here.
