As a second Trump administration approaches, we’re running out of time to confirm as many federal judges as possible to provide a check on his presidential power and curb his stated policy priorities.
The Legal Network for Gender Equity and TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund hosted a webinar, “Legal Empowerment in Practice: A strategy for fostering client engagement, agency, and self-advocacy skills in legal representation and consultations” on November 12, 2024.
This interactive webinar, tailored specifically for Legal Network attorneys by the Right Question Institute, included strategies and tools to:
- Help individuals seeking legal help feel more empowered to ask questions and participate in decisions during their initial legal consultations;
- Build clients’ ability to advocate for themselves, navigate the legal system, and understand legal protections available to them; and
- Provide client-centered services and partner with clients to achieve clients’ goals.
Speakers:
- Naomi Campbell(she/her), Director of the Legal Empowerment Program, Right Question Institute
- Luz Santana(she/her), Co-founder, Right Question Institute
