Direct cash payments and refundable tax credits are critical components of COVID-19 relief targeted to low- and moderate-income women and their families, most especially women of color. Such assistance will not only mitigate the impact of the recession and enable women to meet basic needs for themselves and their families, but will also stimulate the economy.
