Motherhood Wage Gap for Asian American and Pacific Islander Mothers
Mothers who work outside the home full-time, year-round typically make 74 cents for every dollar paid to fathers. Nationwide, Asian American, Native Hawaiian, and Pacific Islander (AANHPI) mothers are paid 99 cents for every dollar paid to white non-Hispanic fathers, but when part time workers are included AANHPI mothers are paid only 77 cents for every dollar paid to white non-Hispanic fathers. And among full time, year-round workers, AANHPI mothers are paid only 79 cents for every dollar paid to AANHPI fathers.
