Let Teachers Teach

As the new school year kicks off, we’re uplifting the voices of teachers on the front lines of education, navigating unprecedented challenges in our public schools. 

With Topos Partnership, we spoke with 25 teachers across several states, including Florida, Michigan, South Carolina, Wisconsin, and others, where there is an intense effort from right-wing extremists and conservative politicians to undermine both teachers and public education. They are attempting to erase our nation’s complex history of racism and misogyny, alienate queer and trans students, remove culturally relevant curricula, and ban books that help students foster critical thinking skills and learn the truth about our history. Ultimately, right-wing extremists are creating a climate of fear, censorship, and exclusion in classrooms.
