NWLC Reacts to Senate Moving Brett Kavanaugh to Final Vote

The following is a statement by Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC):

“Moments ago, 51 Senators redoubled their commitment to ignoring the voices of survivors, and of the American people at large. We are disappointed that the cloture vote moved this sham process forward, but we are not defeated. We will fight this. The collective rage that this process has unleashed from women and survivors will not be bottled up. We hope our elected officials have taken note of what Kavanaugh himself has made resoundingly clear: Brett Kavanaugh is not fit for office, and we, the people, do not want him as our Supreme Court Justice. We continue to demand our Senators do what is fundamentally decent, what is fundamentally right: to vote Kavanaugh down. It will be a career-defining vote for every single Senator, and the entire country will be watching.”
