We are confident that he will lead with empathy, determination, and a commitment to fostering the health and well-being of everyone in this country. Becerra’s track record reveals a deep understanding of how one’s health is impacted by a range of issues including the environment, housing, and workplace. He knows the real-life harm to people when they face discrimination in health care or are denied care, including birth control and abortion. We celebrate his historic confirmation, as the first Latino leader of HHS, and look forward to working alongside him to expand access to health care and other critical services, including child care.”
