NWLC Reacts to Oral Arguments In Historic Abortion Access Case

(Washington, D.C.) The following is a statement from Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center:

“The justices asked the hard question that showed at least some of them believe what we already know–that this case isn’t about protecting women’s health, it’s about closing clinics. This case should be a no-brainer; the opposing lawyers are trying to create a solution to a problem that does not exist. There is over 40 years of precedent behind us. Abortion is freedom, compassion, and legal in this country.”
