NWLC Applauds Biden Administration’s Latest Judicial Nominees

(Washington, D.C.) — Today, President Biden announced his intent to nominate five highly-qualified individuals to federal district courts. This announcement marks President Biden’s forty-first round of nominees for federal judicial positions.

The following is a statement by Erinn D. Martin, Director of Nominations and Cross-Cutting Policies at NWLC:

“We commend the Biden administration for its continued dedication to nominating exceptional individuals committed to equal justice for all and further diversifying the federal bench with this latest round of nominations in Florida and South Carolina. We are excited to see four of the five nominees are women, including two Black women and one Latina, who will not only bring a wealth of experience and expertise to the judicial system, but also bring us another step closer to a judiciary that looks more like our country. Additionally, we are pleased to see the administration’s focus on addressing vacancies in Southern states like Florida and South Carolina, where we continue to see our fundamental rights under attack. We urge the Senate to swiftly consider their nominations.”
