Advocates for reproductive rights said the government’s proposed policy change is skewed by ideology. “It’s not mainstream at all,” said Mara Gandal-Powers, senior counsel for the National Women’s Law Center. “It’s not mainstream science and it’s also not mainstream the way people think.”
