With women paid only 81 cents for every dollar paid to men, it’s clear that we have a long way to go to make the workplace fair for women in the United States.
Women and LGBTQIA+ people continue to confront harassment and discrimination in the workplace, as attacks on programs that seek to promote gender equity and inclusion mount. Women, and especially women of color, are also over-represented in low-paid jobs with unstable work schedules and few benefits. It doesn’t have to be this way.
