Women are much more likely than men to work in the lowest-paid occupations in our economy—jobs such as child care workers, restaurant servers, and home health care workers.
We’re working to ensure that working people can thrive, no matter what job the hold. The federal minimum wage has remained at $7.25 per hour since 2009 with tipped workers making even less. It’s time for that to change.
