The National Women’s Law Center fights for gender justice—in the courts, in public policy, and in our society.
The TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund connects people to media professionals and helps cover the costs of media and storytelling assistance in select matters involving workplace sex harassment and related retaliation.
The Fund is proud to have supported media assistance in more than 140 matters since the launch of the Fund in January 2018. We have supported matters on behalf of firefighters, incarcerated persons, medical professionals, truck drivers, teachers, and many more. These individuals sought media assistance for a variety of reasons – including telling their stories, challenging harmful narratives put out about them by their harassers, and pushing for change in their industries when litigation was not a viable option. Their stories have been featured in news outlets including The New York Times, the Los Angeles Times, The Guardian, The Washington Post, The Hollywood Reporter, the Associated Press, and the New Yorker, as well as countless state and local print, television, and radio outlets.
