NWLC coordinated a coalition of 30 sexual and reproductive health, rights, and justice organizations in submitting a comment opposing a proposed rule that would weaponize federal funding to advance the Trump administration’s anti-abortion agenda. Specifically, the comment explains that one provision in the proposed rule attempts to make significant abortion policy changes without congressional authorization, relies on vague language that creates confusion and chills lawful activity, and exceeds OMB’s authority. We urge OMB to withdraw this provision and the proposed rule in its entirety.
