Justice for Her, Democracy for All Report – 2026

History shows that democracy and gender justice rise and fall together. Functional democracies create the legal frameworks and institutions that make gender and racial equality possible, with women—particularly women of color—often leading the movements that drive those advances. By contrast, attacks on the economic security and rights of women, people of color, and LGBTQIA+ communities are a defining feature of authoritarian regimes.

The Justice for Her, Democracy for All report outlines why and how efforts to defend and strengthen American democracy must be paired with efforts to expand gender justice, which is critical to advancing equal rights for all.
