NWLC, Which Houses and Administers the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund, Supports the Discrimination Cases of Several Women Against the FBI

The following is a statement by Fatima Goss Graves, President and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC):
“NWLC, which houses and administers the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund, is proud to support the brave women who are exposing a toxic culture of cronyism, discrimination and retaliation that is alive and well at the FBI’s training academy at Quantico. Qualified women who are training to become agents are sexually harassed and demeaned simply because they are women, and they are drummed out of the academy just days before their graduation. This case is emblematic of the wider problem of sexual harassment that’s pervasive in male-dominated professions. With work in these fields typically paying higher wages than traditionally female jobs, women lose a significant amount of earning power, as well, when they are pushed out because of sexual harassment and abuse.”
