NWLC Fact Sheet Reveals Immigrant Women’s Vital Role in U.S. Workforce

Washington, DC — The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) has released a new fact sheet highlighting the critical role that immigrant women play in the U.S. workforce, with original data identifying the industries and occupations where they are most heavily represented.

From nail salons and housekeeping to agricultural work and home health care, the fact sheet offers a data-driven look at which sectors stand to be most harmed by the current administration’s harsh immigration and deportation policies.

“Without immigrant women, entire sectors of our economy—especially service and care industries—would simply collapse,” said Ashir Coillberg, Senior Research Analyst at NWLC. “As the administration doubles down on its anti-immigrant agenda, it’s clear that these policies don’t just harm immigrants —they also threaten the stability of our economy and our local communities.”
