Mississippi ranks 7th for income inequality: report
Pay disparities also exist between men and women. According to the National Women’s Law Center, a woman working full-time in Mississippi makes 78 cents for every dollar a man makes. Among Asian women, that same pay gap is 69 cents. Among Black and Latina women, it is 58 and 54 cents, respectively.
