Lawsuit challenges deal between Notre Dame, Trump administration on birth control

The lawsuit challenges an October settlement agreement between the Trump administration and Notre Dame that paved the way for the university to drop some contraceptive coverage from the health insurance plans covering 17,000 employees, students and dependents. It was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana by the National Women’s Law Center, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of the student group Irish 4 Reproductive Health and others insured under Notre Dame’s health plans.
