Here Are Three Ways Black Women Can Negotiate Success In The Boardroom
When it comes to representation in jobs that pay $100,000 or more annually, the National Women’s Law Center reports that Black women represent only 2.7% of workers and 6.2% of the total workforce. There is also an organizational leadership gap. One statistic from 2014 shows that 1.5% of executives are African American women, representing 7.6% of the private sector workforce. A quick scan of the Forbes 400 list will show you that there’s only one Black woman on the list (and yes, it’s Oprah.)
