Media & Storytelling

In select cases, the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund helps survivors of workplace sexual harassment and related retaliation to share their stories by providing connections to public relations professionals and financial support.

Note that you must be represented by an attorney before we can consider your request for media assistance through the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund.  If you are interested in getting connected to legal help through our Legal Network, fill out this request form.

If you are interested in applying for media assistance:

  1.  If you do not have a lawyer, fill out our form to request legal help and:
    • answer “yes” to the question about media and storytelling assistance.
    • tell us in your description that you would like media assistance.
  2. If you are represented by a lawyer:
    • Send us an e-mail (or ask your lawyer to contact us on your behalf) at [email protected].
    • If you write to us yourself, please either copy your attorney on your e-mail or include your attorney’s name and contact information in your e-mail.
  3. The TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund team will then follow up with you to provide you and your attorney with an application form and, if we determine that your situation meets our criteria for media assistance, to guide you through the next steps our application review process.
  4. If the TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund awards you media assistance, we will match you with a public relations professional in our network, and cover the cost of you working with this public relations professional for one month.
  5. The public relations professional may help you with, for example:
    • pitching your story to journalists,
    • drafting background documents about your case to share with the press, or
    • working to keep your name out of the press.

If you have any questions about the process, please reach out to [email protected] for help.
