ADVOCACY GROUPS SUE ADMINISTRATION AND NOTRE DAME OVER CONTRACEPTION COVERAGE — The lawsuit challenges an October agreement between the Trump administration and Notre Dame that paved the way for the university to drop some contraceptive coverage from the health insurance plans covering 17,000 employees, students and dependents. The suit was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana by the National Women’s Law Center, Americans United for Separation of Church and State and the Center for Reproductive Rights on behalf of a student group and others insured under Notre Dame’s health plans, which will drop contraceptive coverage for employees on July 1 and students in August.
