You Know It’s Bad When….
The fact that it’s been over 7 months since Judge Merrick Garland was nominated to the Supreme Court should be evidence enough that the Senate confirmation process has gone seriously off the rails. If any more support for that proposition was needed, it came in the form of Justice Clarence Thomas’ comments during a lecture at the Heritage Foundation earlier this week. For example, he said that “At some point, we have got to recognize that we’re destroying our institutions and undermining our institutions.” That’s why #WeNeedNine.
