Whitney Pesek

Senior Director of Federal Child Care Policy

Whitney Pesek  is the Senior Director of Federal Child Care Policy at the National Women’s Law Center. Pesek leads NWLC’s federal child care policy work, which includes developing and implementing policy goals and advocacy strategies at the federal level. Pesek is a trusted resource for lawmakers and has strong relationships on Capitol Hill. She is also an experienced public speaker and often represents NWLC at public events and conferences.

Previously, she led the federal legislative strategy on work and family issues at Paid Leave for the United States (PL+US) and ZERO TO THREE. She has also led legislative oversight of Ohio’s incarcerated youth and other vulnerable populations. Pesek served in AmeriCorps and has experience as an Early Head Start Teacher. She holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center and a BA in Sociology from Ohio University.
