Sydney Petersen (she/her) is a senior media relations manager at the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC), where she leads strategic communications and media engagement across a broad range of policy issues, including child care, income security, reproductive health care, and government relations. Before joining NWLC, Petersen served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan, and also served as Senator Hassan’s press secretary during her successful re-election campaign in 2022. Petersen graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in Sustainable Development.
