Sydney Petersen (she/her) is a senior media relations manager at the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC), where she focuses primarily on promoting NWLC’s  child care and income security work in the press. Before joining NWLC, Petersen served as press secretary for U.S. Senator Maggie Hassan, and also served as Senator Hassan’s press secretary during her successful re-election campaign in 2022. Petersen graduated from Columbia University with a B.A. in Political Science and a concentration in Sustainable Development.
