Serena Zets (they/them) is media relations manager at the Law Center. They previously worked at the Center for American Progress, where they led the local and national earned media strategy for storytellers speaking out about the direct impacts and harms of federal policy. Their pitching portfolio included labor and the workplace, health care, food access, and climate policy. Prior to CAP, Serena was the first communications staffer at the Center on Privacy & Technology at Georgetown Law, where they used communications and press tools to raise awareness of federal surveillance tactics and harms on communities across the country.

Serena is a proud Pittsburgher who has made DC their home. When not working, they can probably be found at a concert, writing (including arts and culture freelance stories), or exploring Rock Creek Park and Northwest DC.
