Nicola Lessig (she/her) is the Senior Manager, Partnership Development at the National Women’s Law Center, where she works to build and deepen the relationships that fuel NWLC’s fight for gender justice. She is a fundraising and partnerships leader with more than a decade of experience growing revenue and building community at mission-driven organizations. She has held senior development roles at The Climate Reality Project, the News Literacy Project, and Planned Parenthood Gulf Coast, where she led major gifts portfolios, scaled individual giving programs, and executed high-impact fundraising events — including the organization’s first million-dollar luncheon. Earlier in her career, she served as a Peace Corps volunteer in KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa, where she developed community health programs focused on reproductive rights and bodily integrity.

Nicola is at her best when she’s connecting people and ideas and building trust, community, and momentum around impact. She’s proud of her Texas roots — and equally proud to call DC home, where she co-founded her neighborhood’s mutual aid group and organizes a beloved neighborhood block party. When she’s not doing all of the above, she can be found on two wheels, climbing rocks, or planning her next international adventure.
