Marie Cole
Senior Research Analyst, Qualitative
Marie Cole is a Senior Research Analyst concentrating on qualitative methods at the National Women’s Law Center, leading development, implementation, and analysis of qualitative studies and supporting mixed methods projects across NWLC’s issue areas. This body of work aims to emphasize and build from person- and community-centered perspectives, stressing equity and justice with particular attention to gender, race, disability, sexual orientation, and gender identity. Before joining NWLC, she was a research and policy analyst and strategist in the global health field for several years, holding portfolios of work on issues of reproductive health, rights, and justice in East and Southern Africa, Central America, and South and Southeast Asia. Her career began in U.S.-focused social policy research and evaluation of programs concerning child development and family well-being. She is also a birth and abortion doula.
Marie holds an MBA and an MPH with emphases in global health and in human rights from Johns Hopkins University, and she received her bachelor’s degree from Tufts University.
