Gaylynn Burroughs (she/her) is Vice President for Education & Workplace Justice at the National Women’s Law Center where she oversees NWLC’s advocacy, policy, and litigation efforts to allow women and girls to achieve and succeed at work and at school. She was previously the Director of Workplace Equality and Senior Counsel.
Prior to joining NWLC, Gaylynn was Senior Counsel at the Leadership Conference on Civil and Human Rights, where she led the Employment Task Force and the work of the economic security team. Gaylynn has also served as Policy Director for the Feminist Majority and Feminist Majority Foundation, a clinical visiting professor at Fordham University School of Law, and staff attorney at the Bronx Defenders in the Family Defense Practice. Gaylynn began her career as a law clerk to the Honorable Chief Justice Deborah T. Poritz and then to the Honorable Helen E. Hoens, both of the Supreme Court of New Jersey. She received her J.D. and LL.M. from the New York University School of Law and B.A. from Yale University.
