Anna Cannady (she/her/hers), the Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Belonging Manager, ensures the tools, professional development, resources, and research developed or curated by the DEIB team are organized and easy to access. Applying her project management skills, Anna also plans and executes several all-staff events per year, manages the All-Staff Calendar, and leads the Gatherings and Recognition subcommittee. She is passionate about fostering a diverse, inclusive, and equitable workplace where people of all races, genders, abilities, nationalities, and socioeconomic backgrounds, belong and thrive.
Prior to joining the Law Center, Anna worked as a Marketing & Communications Coordinator for an education nonprofit in the Baltimore area, supporting their mission of preparing culturally competent career educators. She has also worked as an Account Executive for an online consumer platform and was previously the Membership/Communications Coordinator at a credentialing organization. In this next chapter of her career, she is excited to further center identity, equity, anti-racism, and accountability in her work.
Anna graduated from the University of Maryland, College Park in 2014 with a degree in Communications and a minor in History. She is a proud, lifelong DMV resident.
