Alex Braha serves as our first dedicated Chief Operating Officer. She served as interim Vice President for Administration and Finance and interim COO from late September 2022 through July 2023.

Alex’s experience in management and operations spans sectors, including nonprofits, multinational corporations, government agencies, and educational institutions. Throughout her career, she has established and led teams on innovative, unprecedented projects, guided the startup phases of new companies and nonprofits, advising NGOs and multinational orgs, led shifts in organizational strategy, and led crisis and risk management efforts internationally.

Alex has provided COO and chief of staff contract services to a wide range of U.S.-based clients, guiding strategic operations and financial planning and serving as a trusted and versatile thought partner to executives.

Alex has an M.A. in International Security with a concentration in Homeland Security and Emergency Management from the University of Denver and a B.A. in Philosophy-Public Affairs from George Washington University. She volunteers with Shenandoah Mountain Rescue Group as a Search Team Leader and serves on the Board of Directors of the Coalition for a Safer Web.
