NWLC Submits Comment in Response to Administration’s Request for Information on Improving Access to Affordable, High-Quality Child Care
During fall 2019, the Office of Child Care (OCC), housed within the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), put forth a Request for Information (RFI) to solicit comments on improving access to affordable, high–quality child care. The National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) submitted a comment that highlights the need for significant additional investment in child care, argues in favor of regulation to improve the child care system, emphasizes the importance of better investment in the child care workforce, and provides solutions on what the administration can do right now to help states implement an equitable and high-quality child care system.
