NWLC Letter of Opposition to the Nomination of Judge Anna St. John to the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit

On August 3, 2026, the National Women’s Law Center submitted a letter of opposition to the nomination of Judge Anna St. John to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit.

Judge St. John’s long record of undermining the rights of survivors of sexual harassment and assault, people of color, and LGBTQ people raises sincere concern about her commitment to equal justice under law. Prior to joining the bench, Judge St. John’s legal career focused on advancing corporate interests, without regard to the harm it may cause to consumers, employees, or the public.
