Legal Network for Gender Equity Resource Directory
NWLC’s Legal Network for Gender Equity has created a directory of national, state, and local resources for people seeking help.
The Legal Network for Gender Equity connects individuals facing sex harassment and other sex discrimination with legal help. While we believe in the importance and power of access to such legal help, we also recognize that survivors of gender-based violence and harassment, and other individuals facing sex discrimination, may also need forms of support that cannot be provided through the Legal Network.
We’ve compiled a list of resources that address the broad range of needs, legal and non-legal, that are most often raised by individuals who reach out to the Legal Network.
The resource directory includes resources from each U.S. state, as well as some national organizations that provide both direct services and more collective services and advocacy.
The resource directory is organized by state, as well as the following categories of resources:
- mental health resources
- LGBTQIA+ resources
- gender-based violence survivor resources
- immigration resources
- military survivor resources
- disability rights resources
To those of you turning to this directory for help with your own situations: we hope that this resource directory may ease your search for the support that you deserve.
This directory has been prepared by NWLC staff for informational purposes only. The provision of this directory does not create an attorney-client relationship between any attorney at NWLC and the reader and does not constitute legal advice. Other than NWLC, NWLC’s Legal Network for Gender Equity, and NWLC’s TIME’S UP Legal Defense Fund, the organizations identified as potential resources in this directory (“the listed organizations”) are wholly separate and independent from NWLC. NWLC cannot guarantee that the listed organizations will have the capacity to assist the reader, or that the organizations referenced in this directory will achieve any specific result or outcome, if they are contacted by the reader. Contacting the listed organizations does not create an attorney-client relationship with NWLC.
