Improving the EITC for Childless Workers Would Benefit Millions of Working Women at All Stages of Their Lives
The EITC provides little help to low-wage workers without qualifying children. Two current proposals would dramatically increase the benefits from the EITC for childless workers. Improving the EITC for childless workers would improve economic security for working women at all stages of their lives: low-wage workers, young women and students, women who are economically disadvantages by caregiving, and older women.
