Last October nearly 300 organizations placed a call to action in the “New York Times” on the one-year anniversary of #MeToo going viral. This call for action called for protections against sexual harassment in violence in work, schools, homes, and communities and demanded concrete advances in Congress and school districts and 20 states by 2020. As state legislative sessions began again this year, over 300 state legislators from both sides of the aisle representing 40 states and the District of Columbia signed a letter of commitment to strengthen protections against sexual harassment and violence by 2020.
