NWLC Statement on Political Violence
The following statement is from Fatima Goss Graves, president and CEO of the National Women’s Law Center, in response to the murder of Charlie Kirk in Utah today:
“Political violence is never acceptable—it endangers all of us and undermines our democracy. Today’s fatal attack is a stark reminder of how aggression and hate are consuming our politics. What makes this moment even more dangerous is not having leadership who will bring our country together, choosing instead to deepen our divisions. We urge the American people: do not answer hate with more hate, or violence with more violence. Our hearts are with the families of all who have suffered from politically motivated attacks.”
