“The Trump-Pence Administration is sanctioning blatant discrimination in health care by attempting to reverse the landmark health care rights law. It’s clear this Administration wants to return to a time when discrimination against women and anyone who faces gender discrimination in health care went unchecked. We have seen religion invoked in countless ways to deny patients access to a broad range of health services. But hospitals and other health providers that take taxpayer dollars should never be allowed to use their religious beliefs to refuse to treat or serve a patient. We are prepared to protect and defend patients against this dangerous attempt to reverse their rights. Their lives and futures are at stake.”
