NWLC Launches New Resource Tracking Fired Federal Workers and Its Impact on Women and Families
Washington, DC (March 27) – As the country continues to reel amid the fallout of DOGE’s attacks on the federal government, the National Women’s Law Center (NWLC) has launched a new resource to track the number of federal workers dismissed by the Trump administration. This resource also identifies which offices and programs within affected departments may be disrupted as a result.
These mass firings, spearheaded by unelected billionaire Elon Musk, follow the roadmap laid out in Project 2025 to dismantle the federal government.
“While it’s crucial for Americans to understand the extent to which Trump and Musk are dismantling the federal government, the administration has made tracking these attacks very difficult,” said Angel Padilla, vice president for strategy & policy at NWLC. “The National Women’s Law Center is committed to providing the transparency the Trump administration is denying voters by tracking, to the best of our ability, the number of workers terminated in each department and how everyday people may be impacted.”
In addition, NWLC has released a detailed report analyzing how these attacks on the federal workforce are affecting women, children, and families.

NWLC has also compiled a resource explaining the broader impact of the Project 2025 agenda on women and families.
